  1. OH NO!!! I wish your doggie good recoveruy and all my luck is being sent your way. One of secreat treats is to shallow deep fry pound cake and eat it with ice cream, so this blueberry version sounds “berry” delicious. hahaha

  2. I want to take a bath in that blueberry cream cheese whip. And that “justification” –right, no one needs that–is far more than what’s needed to convince me that this is epic. I love this so much.

  3. Wow, I am not at all a cake person, and yet I’m sold! I do like a good muffin and a good french toast brunch, and I love the idea of slab-muffins! Why does a 9 square inch pan of that sound infinitely better than a 9 inch square cake? Maybe it’s the streusel or the 20% more butter… (I have that cookbook—I should really try out that blueberry muffin recipe, though I’m already convinced your re-fried version is better.)

    • Allison, my husband finally tried it yesterday and his response summed it up, “Oh, I didn’t expect it to be so MELTY when it’s hot…”. Warm and melty muffin. There you go.
