    • Cheryle, there are people online who’s says you could substitute rolled oats with brown rice flakes or quinoa flakes, but I have never used these two ingredients before… I don’t know if they can produce the same consistency or flavor. Experiments with these two and see how it works out :)

  1. Hi Maindy, as this doesn’t fully require the kind of churning normal ice cream does, would it be possible to knead it by hand all the way? For example, after chilling the mixture completely, put it in the freezer and mix it with a fork every 30 min, then start kneading it as you suggest when it gets too hard to mix with a fork? Appreciate your advice on this. Planning to get an ice cream maker, but in the meantime would have to make do without one. Thank you!

  2. Okay, will try and let you know! Also not sure if it’s something to do with the website revamp, but certain posts are missing from your blog. Tried clicking on the corn gelato post but it says that the page doesn’t exist anymore?
