  1. YAY!!! I have also had my fair share of orthodontic work ( 10 years of it actually) and this was before the magic of plastic was discovered…. Many Mnay years of plates, braces and teeth drilling. How ever it is all worth it Mandy. I swear If I was as skilled as you mine I would attempt this however can you seen me a ball with a truck load of that sauce? I’ll pay!

  2. Flashback to a cumulative TEN YEARS of mouth gear. I burned my retainer long ago and have felt sweet freedom every since (minus that one, pesky crooked tooth that moved back out of place…).

  3. I had to wear a Palette thingy growing up. Reason being my one sided vampire tooth coming out.. Partially due to my not being able to eat the food I wanted, and not being able to pronounce my “s” properly, because I actually liked my vampire tooth – or realistically because I was too lazy – I purposefully let it shrink & stopped wearing it! (Yep I let my parents money go down the drain… I wasn’t quite the genius!)
However, THESE are genius!! I used to eat steamed rice flour balls when I was young, but not made from sticky rice! Definitely need to check it out… especially them sauces (mmm!)

  4. Stupid me! After 10 years I’m still wearing my retainer. Why am I doing that? Why don’t I toss the retainer and start eating these instead. Delish!

  5. You are killing me with your creativity, gorgeous photos, and wonderful recipe, Mandy. <3 <3 <3
This dish won't end well in my kitchen. There will be blood, sweat and tears involved!!!!!

  6. When I worked in foodservice back in college, our ice machine had mildew throughout the incoming water line, and algae in the bin that held the ice. I noticed it the first time I actually looked inside the ice machine and, alarmed, I notified management. They told me “ahh, that happens all the time” and said not to worry about it. Even the health inspector laughed it off!

  7. This looks AMAZING! I’m Korean and I love love love ricecakes and anything chewy, sticky, unctuous, etc… Just curious on the sticky rice dough. Is that rice flour used the same as mochiko flour?

I will definitely try this out!

  8. Hello I have a question for you. I’ve made these and looooved them so much! I am thinking of making another batch to stick and have in the freezer for future enjoyment. I have a vacuum sealer and debating where I should boil them then freeze or freeze pre-boil. Any suggestions? Thanks for all the lovely recipes I’m a huge fan
